Thailand Open Source Festival and Joomla!Day Bangkok


A few months ago I was lucky enough to head over to Thailand with Alex for their Open Source Festival and Joomla!Day. I say lucky because Thailand has some of the most passionate open source people I have met, and Thailand has a fair bit going on in the Joomla! space as well…its just a shame I don’t speak Thai!

First of all let me introduce Akarawuth, or ninekrit / joomlacorner, who leads a band of developers and translators that make Joomla! in Thailand very possible. Akarawuth has done a huge amount of work in Thailand, and even has a version of Joomla! 1.0.x in UTF-8 to make things easier, ports and translates many popular software releases, including Joomla! 1.5, and then on top of all of this organises Joomla!Day’s. The team that supports him is amazing as well and its great to see such a strong development team supporting Joomla! in Thailand.

Joomla! 1.5 RC3 Codename Takriban

Joomla! 1.5 RC3 [codename: Takriban] is now available for download. We've had the 'Red Barchetta' release candidate, then Endelo RC (meaning development, progress ... improvement). Takriban means 'almost, nearly'. Well folks we're almost, nearly there. Stable is getting very close.

It's roughly 10 weeks since RC1 and five weeks since RC2 and thanks to valuable community feedback, there have been improvements and bug fixes. The uptake of Joomla! 1.5 has been incredible, with many people diving in to the new API and finding ways to make it sing. The current Joomla! 1.5 template competition has further fuelled interest, as has the number of 1.5 native extensions finding their way onto the Joomla! Extensions Directory . Joomla! 1.5 is really gaining momentum.

LRU Joomla! Camp#2

   Joomla Camp #1 จัดขึ้นที่ จ.เลย เมื่อ ปีก่อน มาถึงวันนี้ gotoloei และ เพื่อน ๆ ในกลุ่ม Joomla Laithai อย่างเว็บ joomlacorner.com จะมีโครงการดี ๆ จัดขึ้นอีกครั้ง 15-16 กันยายน 2550 ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้น ที่ศูนย์คอมฯ ม.ราชภัฏเลย
ห้องอบรมคอมพิวเตอร์ที่จุคน และเครื่องกว่า 100 เครื่อง จะขับเคลื่อน Joomla ให้เป็นอีกหนึ่งอย่างที่ จะมอบให้กับนักศึกษาในเมืองเลย

Joomla! 1.0.12 LaithaiShop 1.0.12Joomla! 1.0.13 LaithaiShop 1.0.12 เปิดตัวแล้วครับ เนื่องจากมีการออกจูมล่าอัพเดทจากเวอร์ชัน 1.0.12 ไปเป็น 1.0.13 ในส่วนของ  VM เองก็กระทบไปด้วย และทาง VM ต้องออก HotFix for VirtueMart to use Joomla! 1.0.13 ตามมา เพื่อไม่ให้เกิดความยุ่งยาก และลดปัญหาของการอัพเดทเวอร์ชัน ทางทีมงานเลยทำ Package สำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการใช้งานจูมล่าลายไทย ที่รวมร้านค้าออนไลน์ไว้แล้วโดยมีการแสดงผลเป็นภาษาไทย พัฒนาจาก VirtueMart e-commerce V1.0.12 ให้ใหม่ โดยสามารถดาวน์โหลดได้จากลิงก์ด้านล่างครับ

joomla 1.0.13 ลายไทย [UTF-8] เวอร์ชั่นนี้ ได้ทำการเปลี่ยนแปลง หน้าตาในส่วนของการติดตั้ง
ให้เป็นภาษาไทยทั้งหมด เพื่อให้ง่ายสำหรับผู้ที่เริ่มต้น โดยได้ทำการแก้ไขเพิ่มเติมดังนี้
- ปรับภาษาไทยให้เป็น utf-8
- เพิ่มภาษาในส่วนของ frontend
- แปลภาษาไทยด้านหน้าเว็บเพิ่มเติม
- แปลภาษาไทยในหน้าติดตั้งเว็บเพิ่มเติม​
- ปรับ css ในส่วนแสดงผลในหน้าติดตั้ง
- ปรับ css ในส่วนของเทมเพลตหลัก​
- ปรับ css ในส่วนของเทมเพลตผู้​ดูแล​
- ทำการแก้ไขให้แสดงผล Newsfeed ภาษาไทยได้​
- เพิ่มเติม PDF ให้รองรับภาษาไทย
- แก้ไขให้ค้นหาคำภาษาไทยได้

สำหรับผู้ที่ใช้ Joomla 1.0.12 ลายไทย [UTF-8] สามารถใช้ patch
Joomla_LaiThai_1.0.12_to_1.0.13-Stable-Patch_Package.zip โดยการแตกไฟล์ทับได้เลยครับ
